Tournament Series

JGA tournaments are run as individual tournaments and as a Tournament Series. JGA will maintain records and statistics of all team and individual performances for the year. After each tournament the results will be posted for both the tournament and the series race.

For the teams it will be a culmination of team points earned for placing in each tournament: 100 points for 1st place, 75 points for 2nd place, and 50 points for 3rd place. For the individual tournaments it will be broken down into Small, Medium and Large teams. However, for the series there will be one 1st place team, one 2nd place team and one 3rd place team. This is done so all teams can be competitive for the series, it allows flexibility and consideration for teams that are on the fringes of the region. If a large team (13 or more competitors) from the southern portion of the region can only bring 8 competitors to a tournament in the northern portion of region, they will compete as a medium team. The points awarded as a medium team will count for the series.

Individual competitors will compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the series. This will be done by age and not experience level or class: for example, 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded to the top 6 yr olds, top 7 yr olds and on up to the top 16 year olds. The scoring is based on the points accumulated for each individual tournament (see point system). If a competitor moves up in experience levels (beginner to intermediate or intermediate to advanced) or age as the series progresses, they carry their accumulated points with them.
