Divisions
The Junior Grappling Association breaks the brackets into three separate divisions; The Lion division, the Tiger division and the Dragon (Absolute) division. This is for all gi, submission wrestling and combined gi/submission wrestling tournaments. Lion division is broken down into classes with a 2 year age difference and a 15lb weight difference (girls are a 20 lb weight difference). The Tiger division is broken down into classes with a 3 year age difference and a 10 lb weight difference (12 lb weight difference for girls). The Dragon division or the JGA’s version of an absolute division is broken down into classes with a 20 lb weight difference, any age or experience level. Divisions and classes are as follows:
